CIAM completed assessing the 49th Research Competition proposals

10 May 2017
The jury of the P. I. Baranov Central Institute of Aviation Motors (CIAM, part of the Scientific Research Center “Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky”) completed assessing the competition proposals for the Institute employees’ 49th Research Competition. The aim of the Competition is to summarize the CIAM research activities in the year 2016. Mikhail Gordin, the Director General of the CIAM, chaired the panel of judges.

On 27 April 2017, the final 49th Research Competition jury session took place in the Institute’s small conference hall.

The key topic of the discussion was to decide which works to adjudge prizes to, and which ones to present with a certificate of appreciation. The jury’s assessment of the competition proposals was based on the following criteria: subject compliance, scientific and technical level of the work, its actuality, originality and practical significance, as well as complexity and labour inputs. Special attention was paid to the level of the implementation of the competition proposals on scientific industrial enterprises.

This is a team competition: groups of authors prepare research works, all of the authors are CIAM employees. The divisional managers supervise the creation of these projects.
In 2017, 63 research works were submitted for the Competition.

The winners in each category were chosen based on the jury’s secret ballot results.

The winners will get money rewards. Authors of projects with good prospects, who have not won prize places this time, will be presented with certificates of appreciation.
