CIAM and Russian Academy of Sciences to host 9th International Symposium on Nonequilibrium Processes, Plasma, Combustion, and Atmospheric Phenomena (NEPCAP 2020)

The Central Institute of Aviation Motors (CIAM, a part of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”) and the Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SICP RAS) will host the 9th International Symposium on Nonequilibrium Processes, Plasma, Combustion, and Atmospheric Phenomena (NEPCAP 2020). The Symposium will be held in Sochi, Russia, on October 5-9, 2020.

It has already become a notable biannual event attracting a growing attendance of researchers studying nonequilibrium processes during combustion and detonation, interaction of laser radiation with material substance, in plasma, during the formation of clusters and nanostructures, as well as in related disciplines.
Researchers from Belarus, Czech Republic, China, Great Britain, Poland, Switzerland, Russia took part in NEPCAP 2018.

NEPCAP 2020 is aimed at exchange of information on finding new approaches to the organization of high-efficient fuel combustion, ensuring ecological safety and energy efficiency, as well as on the development of new methods for obtaining nanostructures and nanomaterials. This year, the event will be conducted under the aegis of the CIAM’s 90th anniversary.

The Symposium is hosted by CIAM and SICP RAS with the support of the Department of Chemistry and Material Sciences of RAS, the Department of Energy, Mechanics, Machine-Building, and Problems of Control of RAS, the Scientific Council on Chemical Physics of RAS, and the Scientific Council on Combustion and Explosion of RAS.

The official language of the Symposium is English.
