Modeling of a low pressure turbine tonal noise
Numerical integration of the unsteady Reynolds-averaged three dimensional Navier – Stokes equations system is used to define tonal characteristics of the noise, which is generated in the exit of the two-stage low-pressure turbine in different operating modes. Comparison of the calculation results with the available experimental data is given. Keywords: tonal noise, low pressure turbine, radial-modal analysis, URANS.

The use of the dynamic library TRANLIB for calculation of the reacting gas mixtures transport properties
The organization principals of the software dynamic library TRANLIB and its reacting gas mixtures transport properties calculation algorithms are considered. It is shown that preliminary approximation of individual components transport properties allows us to improve calculations accuracy by taking into account such important molecular effects as dipole-dipole coupling and resonant coupling of dipole molecules and to minimize computational cost. Keywords: simulation modelling, unbalanced flow, molecular transport, transport properties, viscous, diffusion, thermal conductivity.

Analysis of the small clusters of metals and metalloids usage for the composite fuel energy intensity enhancement
The structures and enthalpies of formation and combustion for Lin, Ben, Bn, Mgn, Aln and Sin clusters wit n = 1…7 were determined using the methods of quantum chemistry. Approximate dependences which allow us to extrapolate the derived values of the formation and combustion enthalpies of arbitrary cluster size are constructed. It is shown that the use of metals and metalloids in the form of small clusters as a fuel can give the most significant effect in terms of increasing the enthalpy of combustion in comparison with the bulk phase, but for some larger clusters this effect will also be very significant. Keywords: atomic clusters, quantum chemistry, combustion enthalpy, size effects, composite fuels.

Experimental investigations of the strength properties of the thermal barrier coatings layers at working temperatures
The methods of determination of the strength properties of separate layers of thermal barrier coatings are considered. The most distribution was gained by the method of a normal separation of the coating at room temperature according to ASTM-C633. The methods, designs of samples and equipment developed in CIAM for the experimental determination of the cohesive and adhesive durability of separate layers of ceramic thermal barrier coating at working temperatures are described. The results of experimental studies of the strength characteristics of separate layers of coating (bond coat and ceramic top coat) at working temperatures up to 1150°С are presented on sleeve samples with a metal bond coat and ring samples with a complex thermal barrier coating. Keywords: thermal barrier coating, strength properties, adhesion strength, cohesion strength, yttria stabilized zirconia.

Determination of the elastic constants for the residual stresses calculation from the X-ray method measurement results
A task of determination of elastic constants used for calculating the magnitude of residual stress measured by X-ray method has been evaluated for nickel based super alloys. Values of elastic response and X-ray elastic constants were calculated by using experimental data obtained by testing specimens with monocrystalline structure of three axial orientations [001], [011], [111]. Testing was done for uniaxial stretching with determination of elastic module at a temperature of 20°С.Keywords: residual stress, X-ray analysis, elastic response, X-ray elastic constants, monocrystalline nickel based super alloy.
