Operating procedures for the Authors

The article manuscripts have to be submitted to the AVIATION ENGINES Journal editorial office in electronic form on electronic media or to the following e-mail address: journal@ciam.ru .Authors have to provide an expert opinion on the possibility of publication in public media and the licensing Agreement. The article and the Agreement must be signed by all authors with indication of their full names, academic degrees and titles, positions, names of organizations, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.

The date the editorial team receives the final text of the manuscript, as well as files and accompanying documents (expert opinion) is considered to be the date of the article receipt. Authors are informed on the article receipt.

All scientific articles submitted to the editorial office of the AVIATION ENGINES Journal are reviewed anonymously (the author is not informed of the reviewer’s name, and the reviewer is not informed of the author’s name). The executive secretary of the Journal determines if the article complies with the Journal’s subject area, submission requirements and sends the article for the first review to the editor-in-chief, who evaluates scientific contents of the manuscript. In case of a positive assessment, the article is sent for the review to the experts qualified on the subject of the reviewed materials and who have published their own articles on the subject within the last three years.

The timeframe for reviewing in each individual case is determined by the executive secretary of the Journal, aiming to create conditions for the most expeditious publication of the article.

The author of the reviewed article is informed about the reviewer’s remarks.

If the review contains recommendations for correcting and finalizing the article, the executive secretary of the AVIATION ENGINES Journal sends the reviewer's remarks to the author suggesting to consider them when preparing a new version of the manuscript or to refute them in a reasoned way (partially or completely). The manuscript of the article, modified (revised) by the author, is then sent for re-review.

An article not recommended for publication by the reviewer is not accepted for reconsideration. The negative conclusion is sent to the author by e-mail.

Materials that do not meet requirements and subject areas of the journal are rejected without consideration. The editorial board reserves the right not to enter into correspondence about articles that do not meet publication requirements.

After the decision to publish the article is made by the editorial board and the editorial staff of the AVIATION ENGINES Journal, the author is informed about this decision and date of publication.

No publication fee is charged.
